Refund and Cancellation Policy

Return Policy

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return. After this period, we unfortunately cannot offer refunds or exchanges.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in its original condition, and in its original packaging. Proof of purchase and photos of the item may be required.

Please note: Minor imperfections are normal in handmade items. Any modification or alteration voids the warranty.

Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled only before shipment. Please contact us as soon as possible by email. We cannot guarantee cancellation once the item has been handed over to the carrier.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, the refund will be issued to your original payment method within a few business days.

Shipping fees are non-refundable if the package was unclaimed or refused, and return-to-sender costs will be invoiced separately.

Late or Missing Refunds

  • Check your bank account and contact your card issuer — some banks take several days to process refunds.
  • If you haven’t received anything within 6 business days, please contact us at contact@katana-canada.ca.

Sale Items

Only regular-priced items are eligible for refunds. Sale items are non-refundable.

Exchanges & Replacements

We accept exchange or replacement requests within 30 days of delivery for unused, undamaged items. If your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, please email us with photos for evaluation.

Customized or Engraved Products

Customized or engraved katanas are final sale. Once preparation has begun, no refund or cancellation is possible.

Gift Cards

Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be returned.

Returns Shipping

To return an item, please contact us first to obtain the return address. We strongly recommend using the same courier service and sharing a tracking link for faster processing.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. For returns over $75 CAD, we recommend purchasing insurance. We are not responsible for lost or damaged returns—claims must be filed with the carrier.

Customs

Orders shipped to Europe are not subject to customs duties.

However, if you choose EMS, UPS, or SF Express, and the customs fees are refused or unpaid, the parcel will be returned to us. In such cases, shipping and return fees will be billed, and €40 may be deducted from your refund to cover original shipping costs.
