How One Piece ranks its swords

The series sorts its famous blades into four ranks: 12 Supreme Grade swords (Saijō Ō Wazamono), 21 Great Grade swords (Ō Wazamono), 50 Skillful Grade swords (Ryō Wazamono) and the Grade swords (Wazamono). Rank reflects a blade's standing in the story. Wado Ichimonji, Shusui and Enma are Great Grade, Yubashiri is Skillful Grade and Sandai Kitetsu is a Grade sword. Our guide to the great swords of One Piece goes further.

Zoro's swords have their own collection

Wado Ichimonji, Sandai Kitetsu, Enma, Black Enma, Shusui and Yubashiri are gathered in our Zoro swords collection, with the story of each blade and a guide to choosing yours. Two are worth a word here. The Black Enma sword is the same blade as Enma in a black finish, and the Yubashiri sword is the Skillful Grade blade Zoro lost at Enies Lobby. All six also appear here, since they belong to the series.

The other One Piece swords

Kikoku: Trafalgar Law's sword

Trafalgar Law, the Surgeon of Death and captain of the Heart Pirates, pairs Kikoku with his Op-Op Fruit powers inside his Room. The Kikoku sword has a round guard trimmed with white fur.

Ame no Habakiri: Oden's second sword

Kozuki Oden fought with two swords, Enma and Ame no Habakiri, also written Amenohabakiri. The Ame no Habakiri sword is the second half of that pair and comes with a white saya.

Nidai Kitetsu: the second Kitetsu

Nidai Kitetsu belongs to the same cursed line as Zoro's Sandai Kitetsu. The names count the generations: Nidai is the second Kitetsu, Sandai the third. The Nidai Kitetsu sword lets you display the two side by side.

Starting a One Piece collection

There are three simple ways in. Follow a character: Law's Kikoku, Oden's pair, or Zoro's trio. Follow a rank: Wado Ichimonji, Shusui, Enma, Ame no Habakiri and Nidai Kitetsu are all Great Grade. Follow a story: the two Kitetsu swords, from the same cursed line. Every sword is made to order, so you can add pieces one at a time.

How to choose your One Piece sword

Every sword here is offered sharpened or not sharpened, with optional engraving for $30, and prices start at $449 CAD. Not sharpened suits a shelf, a stand or cosplay photos. Sharpened is for collectors who want the blade finished with an edge: treat it like any edged blade, keep it sheathed and out of children's reach. Each sword is made to order and checked before it ships. Show several together on our stands and wall mounts, and find terms like saya and tsuba in our Japanese sword glossary.

One Piece swords: your questions

Are these real One Piece swords?

They are replicas: full-size 1060 carbon steel swords inspired by the blades of the series, fan-made and not officially licensed.

Is it legal to own a One Piece sword in Canada?

Generally, yes. Our guide Sword laws in Canada explains that Canadian law does not specifically prohibit owning a katana and that swords do not need a permit or registration, with collection and display treated as legitimate purposes. Rules vary by province and city, so check your local rules. This is general information, not legal advice.

How long does delivery take, and are there customs fees?

Each sword is made to order. Plan on 3 to 4 weeks in total: about 1 to 2 weeks of forging, then 1 to 2 weeks of delivery. Delivery is free in Canada, and customs and import duties are handled for you, so nothing is collected at your door. See our customs and duties page.

How do I look after a carbon steel sword?

Keep carbon steel dry. Wipe off fingerprints with a soft dry cloth after handling, apply a thin film of sword oil and store the sword away from damp. Our guide on how to care for a katana covers the steps.
