About the Wado Ichimonji in One Piece

The Wado Ichimonji is one of the 21 Great Grade swords (Ō Wazamono). It was forged by the legendary swordsmith Shimotsuki Kozaburo—the same craftsman who created the Enma.

The sword originally belonged to Kuina, the daughter of Zoro's kendo master. She was Zoro's rival and closest friend. After her tragic death, Zoro inherited the blade and vowed to fulfill their shared dream.

The Wado Ichimonji is the only sword Zoro has kept since the beginning of his journey. When using his Three Sword Style (Santoryu), he always holds this blade in his mouth—a symbol of the promise he carries with him.

Who is Roronoa Zoro?

Roronoa Zoro is the swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates and the first crew member to join Luffy. His dream is to become the world's greatest swordsman by defeating Dracule Mihawk.

Zoro's current three-sword set includes the Wado Ichimonji, Enma (the purple blade), and Sandai Kitetsu (the cursed red blade).

Why 1060 Carbon Steel?

We chose 1060 carbon steel for optimal balance. It offers excellent edge retention while staying flexible enough to resist breakage. This steel is easier to maintain than high-carbon alternatives. Perfect for display pieces and light cutting practice.

Complete Your Zoro Collection

Roronoa Zoro wields three swords. The Wado Ichimonji is his original blade—the one he'll never replace. Pair it with the Enma (his newest purple blade) and the Sandai Kitetsu (the cursed sword he chose himself). Display all three for the ultimate Santoryu setup.
