Full description
Blue Dragon Katana – Dragon Theme Katana
The Blue Dragon Katana embodies the timeless power of the mythical dragon, a creature revered across Eastern cultures as a symbol of strength, wisdom, and good fortune. Deep azure tones flow along the blade and fittings like water in motion, evoking the dragon's dominion over storms and seas. This katana speaks to collectors who appreciate bold symbolism paired with functional craftsmanship.
Forged from T10 high-carbon steel with full tang construction, this blade delivers both striking beauty and genuine cutting capability. Total length: 105 cm. Blade: 72 cm. The iron tsuba features intricate dragon motifs that catch the light with every movement. Available sharpened for cutting practice or unsharpened for safe display and training.
Design Philosophy
Blue represents the celestial dragon: the guardian of the eastern sky in traditional Asian mythology. The designers chose a harmonious palette of deep blues and silver accents to create a katana that feels both regal and fierce. Every element, from the wrapped handle to the scabbard, maintains this cohesive color story. The result is a sword that commands attention whether mounted on a wall or held in hand.
Craftsmanship & Materials
- Blade: T10 high-carbon steel, hand-forged with a visible hamon line. Full tang construction ensures durability and proper balance.
- Tsuba: Cast iron guard featuring a coiled dragon design, providing both protection and artistic detail.
- Tsuka: Traditional cotton ito wrap in coordinating blue, layered over synthetic rayskin (same) for a secure, authentic grip.
- Saya: Wooden scabbard with a lacquered blue finish, complementing the overall dragon theme.
Ideal For
The Blue Dragon Katana suits collectors seeking a statement piece with genuine functionality. Display it as a centerpiece in your home or office, use it for backyard cutting practice (tameshigiri), or gift it to someone who appreciates traditional sword aesthetics. Its balanced weight makes it suitable for basic kata training as well.
Why T10 Steel?
T10 is a tungsten-alloy high-carbon steel prized for its exceptional edge retention and hardness. Compared to standard carbon steels, T10 resists wear longer and maintains a sharper cutting edge through repeated use. The higher carbon content also produces a more dramatic hamon (temper line) during the differential hardening process, meaning each blade carries unique visual character. For collectors who want more than display-only quality, T10 delivers real-world performance.
Sharpened or not sharpened?
On most models, sharpening is optional and costs the same: when both are offered, choose Sharpened or Not Sharpened above. A not-sharpened blade is the safer choice for display and cosplay.
Lifetime warranty
Your katana is guaranteed for life against manufacturing defects: the blade (steel, heat treatment, geometry) and the original mounting (tang, tsuba, handle, wrap, saya), with no time limit.
Not covered: normal wear, damage from inappropriate use (cutting hard targets, impacts, throwing), lack of maintenance, and modifications or sharpening outside our recommendations.
The warranty applies to the original purchaser. To make a claim, email contact@katana-canada.ca with photos and your order number. It adds to your legal rights, it never replaces them.

Customer Reviews
Overall rating: 4.9 / 5 from 182 reviews.
I like it very much. Well done overall. It’s my first one. But as soon as I will know more and more about Katana, I will buy another one with Katana Canada as being a proud Canadian
Love this sword
The Katana war really beutyful and it’s arrive in great condition and it’s really good quality
Je suis entièrement satisfait. Le katana est exactement comme je l'avais demandé. Je recommande à toutes et à tous.
Arrived faster than expected, appears to be well crafted with tight fittings. Could be a little sharper, so bought some water stones to put some more work into it. Just wish I knew more about the steel used in the forging process. Not sure if I need to be diligent with keeping the blade oiled or not to protect it from rusting?
Honestly great service and delivery time
Beautifully crafted, fantastic weight to it and the feeling of...POWER in my hand. Pity I can't find a suitable replica for Rebellion or the Devil Arm Sparda to complete my collection but still a Beaty of a blade
The Customer Service responded pretty fast to my inquiries so ill give them a 5 for that. The Sword feels very custom. I love how it turned out. It isn't as sharp i thought it would be though.
The stand looks amazing with the katana in it!!
Beautiful sword! Nice weight and excellent craftsmanship!
My Katana arrived promptly!! It was as beautiful as I hoped it would be. Extremely well crafted. I built my own and was not disappointed. I engraved our Japanese family name in Kanji and it came out beautifully. This will be a treasured piece to hand down for generations. So pleased with everything. Thank you.
Excellent item, kinda accents the theme of a space in my office with the plants and samurai. Eventually I plan to add a small zen garden kit to accentuate the mental health efforts of my role. Thank you!
Tanjiro Second Generation Mini Katana – Demon Slayer Edition
I bought this set for my boyfriend as a birthday gift. Needless to say he was speechless and stoked. The craftsmanship, the detail and all together quality is insanely good. I got the cleaning kit and wall mount, 10/10 would recommend the stand. Only comment is that is arrived with a small nick on the tip of the sheath, other than that it is impeccable. Thank you to those who spent time and energy into these pieces, you are highly gifted! Will likely buy again in the future!
Great
I love it , just what I ordered .
Top quality, well balanced
excellent quality
Very satisfying.
Designing the katana was awesome. A lot of choices to make .Shipping was incredibly fast and the katana is amazing and beautiful. Only negative was that it wasn’t very sharp but I’m a professional sharpener so not a big deal. Overall 10 out of 10!
I got this as a gift for my husband and he loves it. There were so many choices to make it truly custom, it was a lot of fun going through them all. There was communication throughout every step of the process which was greatly appreciated since it takes weeks from start to finish. I have already recommended it to a friend.
I love it, its feels great, looks good, but there is a slight bent in it, but all aside that I love.it
Beyond exceptions I will order more.
couldnt be happier with the product.
Merci je l’aime beaucoup ! Je ne suis pas déçu
Beauty piece of art and history. Very professional work. I'll be purchasing from this company again and I'll be recommending them to my friends. Thanks for the great piece.
Very satisfied and happy with my order. The customizer allowed me to build the katana that was forged to my great satisfaction.... Perfect!! Thanks KATANA CANADA..... Job well done...

Its my second sword and they are both amazing!!!!
I'm very impressed with my new custom spring steel katana. Communication was also fantastic, thank you for answering all of my questions too! Wonderful customer service!
Excellent quality blades. Very professional
Looks amazing. Love the quality and feels like my own
I love the katana. It is what I've been looking for.
I love the Katana. A bit on the expensive side for what it really is but i can’t deny it looks amazing. It’s solid, looks really good and overall is a great item. I will attempt to sharpen it more in the futur because the blade was not sharpened enough to my liking. I recommend it. Mine took about 2 weeks to arrive from the day of the order.
A great addition to your katana.
Excellent blade for active use, very neat assembly and all this complements the unique experience of choosing components manually, huge customization from the choice of steel depending on your goals up to the decorative details, everything arrived in 2.5 weeks
Great job 👍
