The Michonne sword is a fan-made katana replica inspired by the blade Michonne carries in The Walking Dead, hand-forged in 1095 high carbon steel with a full tang and measuring 103 cm overall.
Michonne first appeared in the comic The Walking Dead #19 (2005), created by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard. On television she arrives at the end of the second-season finale, “Beside the Dying Fire” (2012), played by Danai Gurira: a hooded figure with two chained walkers at her side and a katana, who saves Andrea from a walker.
The sword was not hers to begin with. Michonne later admits that she found it early in the outbreak and learned how to use it. In the comics she finds it in a neighbour's house.
In the third season she and Andrea end up in Woodbury, the town run by the Governor. Andrea wants to stay; Michonne does not trust him and eventually leaves alone.
This version is hand-forged from 1095 high carbon steel with full tang construction. The handle is wrapped in black and white imitation cowhide, the tsuba is alloy, the habaki is copper, and the scabbard is a solid wood saya with a traditional design.
The Michonne katana Premium Edition has the same listed size: 103 cm overall with a 71 cm blade. It differs in its materials: T10 carbon steel instead of 1095, a copper tsuba, a handle wrapped in white cotton over real rayskin, and a solid wood saya wrapped in genuine cowhide with a leather backstrap. Both sit in our high-end katanas, next to the Kill Bill sword, another screen blade.
Made to order: about 1 to 2 weeks of forging, then 1 to 2 weeks of delivery, so 3 to 4 weeks from order to your door. The sword is checked before it leaves, delivery is free in Canada and duties are included.
Approximately 1.2 kg. The overall length is 103 cm (40.5 in), with a 71 cm (28 in) blade and a 27 cm (10.6 in) handle.
Materials and finish, not size. The Premium Edition uses T10 carbon steel instead of 1095, with a copper tsuba, real rayskin under the handle wrap and a cowhide-wrapped saya with a leather backstrap. The details are in the comparison above.

On most models, sharpening is optional and costs the same: when both are offered, choose Sharpened or Not Sharpened above. A not-sharpened blade is the safer choice for display and cosplay.
Your katana is guaranteed for life against manufacturing defects: the blade (steel, heat treatment, geometry) and the original mounting (tang, tsuba, handle, wrap, saya), with no time limit.
Not covered: normal wear, damage from inappropriate use (cutting hard targets, impacts, throwing), lack of maintenance, and modifications or sharpening outside our recommendations.
The warranty applies to the original purchaser. To make a claim, email contact@katana-canada.ca with photos and your order number. It adds to your legal rights, it never replaces them.
Free shipping on orders of $200 CAD or more. Below that, shipping costs are shown at checkout.

soon as i received it in the mail... i was skeptical at first not knowing it was gonna be the real deal, but this is real as much as it feels. loving it as it is my first Katana. saving up just to buy another! 6/5 would recommend if you are looking for quality made other than just for show!
Arrived in a timely manner.Packaged well.Overall well crafted.Looks great and quite sharp.Good value for the price. The premium stand looks good.
Just like it's supposed to be. Looks, sharpness, and finish.
I like it very much. Well done overall. It’s my first one. But as soon as I will know more and more about Katana, I will buy another one with Katana Canada as being a proud Canadian
Love this sword
The Katana war really beutyful and it’s arrive in great condition and it’s really good quality
Je suis entièrement satisfait. Le katana est exactement comme je l'avais demandé. Je recommande à toutes et à tous.
Arrived faster than expected, appears to be well crafted with tight fittings. Could be a little sharper, so bought some water stones to put some more work into it. Just wish I knew more about the steel used in the forging process. Not sure if I need to be diligent with keeping the blade oiled or not to protect it from rusting?
Honestly great service and delivery time
Beautifully crafted, fantastic weight to it and the feeling of...POWER in my hand. Pity I can't find a suitable replica for Rebellion or the Devil Arm Sparda to complete my collection but still a Beaty of a blade
The Customer Service responded pretty fast to my inquiries so ill give them a 5 for that. The Sword feels very custom. I love how it turned out. It isn't as sharp i thought it would be though.
The stand looks amazing with the katana in it!!
Beautiful sword! Nice weight and excellent craftsmanship!
My Katana arrived promptly!! It was as beautiful as I hoped it would be. Extremely well crafted. I built my own and was not disappointed. I engraved our Japanese family name in Kanji and it came out beautifully. This will be a treasured piece to hand down for generations. So pleased with everything. Thank you.
Excellent item, kinda accents the theme of a space in my office with the plants and samurai. Eventually I plan to add a small zen garden kit to accentuate the mental health efforts of my role. Thank you!
Tanjiro Second Generation Mini Katana – Demon Slayer Edition
I bought this set for my boyfriend as a birthday gift. Needless to say he was speechless and stoked. The craftsmanship, the detail and all together quality is insanely good. I got the cleaning kit and wall mount, 10/10 would recommend the stand. Only comment is that is arrived with a small nick on the tip of the sheath, other than that it is impeccable. Thank you to those who spent time and energy into these pieces, you are highly gifted! Will likely buy again in the future!
Great
I love it , just what I ordered .
Top quality, well balanced
excellent quality
Very satisfying.
Designing the katana was awesome. A lot of choices to make .Shipping was incredibly fast and the katana is amazing and beautiful. Only negative was that it wasn’t very sharp but I’m a professional sharpener so not a big deal. Overall 10 out of 10!
I got this as a gift for my husband and he loves it. There were so many choices to make it truly custom, it was a lot of fun going through them all. There was communication throughout every step of the process which was greatly appreciated since it takes weeks from start to finish. I have already recommended it to a friend.
I love it, its feels great, looks good, but there is a slight bent in it, but all aside that I love.it
Beyond exceptions I will order more.
couldnt be happier with the product.
Merci je l’aime beaucoup ! Je ne suis pas déçu
Beauty piece of art and history. Very professional work. I'll be purchasing from this company again and I'll be recommending them to my friends. Thanks for the great piece.
Very satisfied and happy with my order. The customizer allowed me to build the katana that was forged to my great satisfaction.... Perfect!! Thanks KATANA CANADA..... Job well done...
Excellent starter or travel display stand for special events.

Great . Worth the short wait
Its my second sword and they are both amazing!!!!
I'm very impressed with my new custom spring steel katana. Communication was also fantastic, thank you for answering all of my questions too! Wonderful customer service!
Excellent quality blades. Very professional
Looks amazing. Love the quality and feels like my own
I love the katana. It is what I've been looking for.
I love the Katana. A bit on the expensive side for what it really is but i can’t deny it looks amazing. It’s solid, looks really good and overall is a great item. I will attempt to sharpen it more in the futur because the blade was not sharpened enough to my liking. I recommend it. Mine took about 2 weeks to arrive from the day of the order.
A great addition to your katana.
